About me
Pamela Broome is a passionate educator with more than 20 years experience in grades P-12 and higher education. She has served as a teacher, school leader, and education consultant for urban and rural schools across the country. Her steadfast approach to teaching and learning is a whole-child approach where students and teachers are viewed as "people first" in order to best meet their social emotional and academic needs.
Pamela most recently served as the inaugural principal and director of UNC Charlotte's elementary lab school, Niner University Elementary. Over the past six years, this journey has led her through a deep exploration and implementation of trauma informed practices for all stakeholders. She is excited to share the benefits and evidence-based practices that guide training, collaboration, and ongoing support in teaching/practicing self-regulation, the impact of secondary trauma, and the importance of self-care for teachers.
