Addressing The Whole Black Child: Culturally Relevant SEL

Take a quick deep dive into the complexities of culturally relevant social and emotional learning particularly pertaining to Black students. While the state standards are not inherently problematic, they do require some nuance and this session aims to highlight the various ways that these students may be approached with a different understanding. This session will be illuminating on not just how to identify behavioral markers, but also how to take actionable steps to break cycles from learned adaptations and correct patterns not conducive to success, inside the classroom and out.
